Shower Upgrades

I know some people unwind by taking baths, but my nightly shower is truly the time I need and use to decompress throughout the day and to have all those enlightening #showerthoughts. When it’s time to shower, my boyfriend always jokes that he’ll see me in a couple hours, which *is* an exaggeration. The point being, that I like to take my time (sorry earth, I try to help you out in other ways I promise!!). Because of this, I’ve steadily been trying to upgrade my shower products so my ~experience~ is a tad more luxurious.

Carol’s Daughter Shampoo
I’m trying to get into hair care the same way I am about skin care. This is my first step into the world of more than $5 shampoo. I picked it up at Target and I really like it! I do think shampoo is one of those products that I will constantly be trying new ones which means when I run out I will pick out something else. But, I am a new fan of this brand!
Korres Cleanser
A new cleanser! Yay! I’m slowly trying to get more “clean” skin care products into my routine and Korres is a brand that has the clean seal of approval at Sephora. This is a great face wash that lathers nicely and feels very luxurious. I *love* using it.
Shea Moisture African Black Soothing Body Wash When visiting my sister she had this in her shower and I loved it. I don’t think I stopped thinking about it for 6 months afterwards until I finally caved and bought it instead of my $2 standard body wash. It has tiny little beads that give a very gently scrub. But the thing I love the most is the scent. It’s this amazing vanilla smell that I want to bathe myself in. I love it so much and it truly is soothing to me. Unfortunately, it is drying out my skin which is so sad! I’m going to try body wash aimed at moisturizing/hydrating next. Recommendations are welcome!

Dove Body Scrub this product is reminding me how much I love using a body scrub. I used to love the Tree Hut scrubs but for some reason I stopped buying it and it’s been a while since I’ve bought a body scrub. But I was in Target last weekend and impulsively grabbed this and a scrub is now going to be a solid step in my shower routine. I love the feeling of my dry skin being scrubbed away and it helps me to feel extra clean. This one by Dove is lovely. I have the Kiwi scent which has enough of a scent to be delicious but not overpowering. It also has the perfect scrub level: enough to exfoliate, but doesn’t feel like gravel.

Billy Razor You already know how I feel about this.

EOS Shaving Cream

I haven’t bought shaving cream in like 5 years. I have just been using like conditioner or body wash for a long time instead of having to have another product lined up on my already cramped shower. But when I picked up the body scrub I impulsively bought this shaving cream. And honestly, it’s just a shaving cream. It smells nice, and I love that it has a pump. But other than that, it is not earth-shattering (although I’m not sure any shaving cream will ever be labeled that so).

What new (or old and loved!) products  are in your shower?
