Stila Glitter & Glow: A Love Letter

Hello, and welcome to the third edition of my “Love Letter” series aka my Monthly Favorite. March was tougher than usual thanks to my multiple Sephora shopping sprees (oops). But, when it comes right down to it, my most used and loved product of the month was Stila Stay All Day Glitter & Glow in “Diamond Dust”.

You know how sometimes you buy something expensive, and then you use it for the first time and it doesn’t quite live up to your expectations? But you keep using it in the hopes you can make it work? You keep your fingers crossed that eventually the hype will make sense and your hard earned money won’t have been wasted? Yeah, that didn’t happen here.

The first time I put this on I’m pretty sure I said “oh shit” out loud in my bedroom in pure and utter awe. I knew then and there that this product would be a game changer in my makeup loving life. Part of the reason I love this so much is that I’ve been in a bit of a glitter phase lately. Not sure why, but for some reason that glitter eye look has been really appealing to me lately.

Ok, back to the product. First, the formula. The glitter particles are super small which makes it look a bit more ~classy~ vs the chunky glitter that gives off more of a rave vibe. It also means business when it says “stay all day”. That shit does. not. move. It doesn’t crease, flake or smear. Yet, is somehow still relatively easy to remove with an oil cleanser?? IDK, but they rocked this formula. Because of the staying power, it drys fast which means it doesn’t blend super easy. I do one eye at a time as a work around and blend it out with my finger. I find I have better control that way.

Since I only have one color, I can’t speak for the whole range. But for Diamond Dust in particular, I love that you can go in with a light touch to get a hint of extra shimmery goodness, or you can build it up for an intense sparkle. Part of the reason I got picked this color was so that I could layer it on top of any eyeshadow color and it would just add more glitter but not take away any of the original shadow color, which it does perfectly.

I really cannot say enough good things about this product. Totally worth the money for all the reasons I already talked about but also because it will last forever. A little goes a long way here.
